About Us
Hi, I’m John, a third-generation jeweler who grew up around the craft of making fine jewelry. My grandfather began manufacturing jewelry in the 1960s, and my father continued the tradition, so jewelry has always been a big part of my life. While I’ve always appreciated the craftsmanship behind it, I found that what I enjoyed most was connecting with people one-on-one. That naturally led me to specialize in bespoke engagement rings. I love getting to know each couple, hearing their ideas, and helping bring a ring to life that feels truly personal to them. Knowing that something we create will be part of a proposal, a wedding, and a story they’ll carry with them for years is what makes this so rewarding.
One of my favorite parts of what we do is being involved in the entire process. Every engagement ring is made locally in Downtown Los Angeles, and I personally get to oversee each step along the way—from the initial design and 3D model to casting, diamond setting, polishing, and the finished ring. Keeping everything close to home allows us to pay attention to the little details and make sure each piece feels just right. For me, creating a custom engagement ring isn’t just about making beautiful jewelry—it’s about making the experience personal, enjoyable, and something you’ll always remember.
Steps of creating bespoke engagement ring
Choose Your Center Stone
Before we begin designing your ring, we’ll first need to know your preferred diamond shape and approximate size. We carry most diamond shapes and sizes at our Downtown Los Angeles showroom, giving you the opportunity to compare different options and find the stone that feels right for you.
3D Modeling
Once we have an idea of what you’re looking for, we’ll bring your vision to life through a custom 3D model. We can start with a video call to discuss your ideas, or you can simply send us inspiration images and details you love. Almost any design is possible as long as it is structurally sound and made for lasting wear. Your 3D model allows you to see the proportions, setting, and design details before production begins, and we can make adjustments until everything feels just right.
Casting Your Ring
Once your 3D model is approved, we move on to casting your ring. Using the finalized 3D design, a precise wax model of your setting is created, giving us the first physical version of your custom design. That wax model is then used in the casting process to transform your design into your chosen gold or platinum semi-mount. At this stage, your bespoke design officially takes physical form and begins to look like the engagement ring you envisioned.
Setting the Diamonds
Once your ring has been cast, it’s time to add the sparkle. Our in-house diamond setters carefully set your center stone and any accent diamonds into the setting, paying close attention to alignment, security, and every small detail. Each stone is set by hand to ensure your diamonds are beautifully positioned while remaining secure for everyday wear.
Polishing & Finishing Touches
The final step is all about the details that make your ring truly yours. Whether you’d like to add a personal engraving, meaningful initials, a special date, or a hidden birthstone, these finishing touches can make your engagement ring even more personal to your story. Once everything is complete, your ring is carefully polished to bring out its beautiful shine and inspected one final time before it’s ready for you.
